James D. Westcott Building
Founded in 1851, Florida State University is proud of its rich heritage. The Westcott Building is the oldest site of continuous, higher education in the state of Florida. Florida State combines traditional strength in the arts and humanities with recognized leadership in the sciences, providing unmatched opportunities for students and faculty through challenging academics, cultural discovery, and community interaction. Inside the Westcott Building, you’ll find our President and Vice Presidents’ Offices, as well as Ruby Diamond Auditorium, our premier concert hall.
