The College of Business has consistently been ranked as a top business school by U.S. News & World Report. The College offers ten undergraduate programs and six graduate programs. The undergraduate programs offered cover a wide range of specialties, including traditional programs such as Finance, Accounting, and Marketing, as well as less traditional programs such as Real Estate or Risk Management and Insurance.
In December 2015, Jan Moran and the Jim Moran Foundation committed $100 million—the largest gift in the university’s history—to create the Jim Moran School of Entrepreneurship. The School will attract students from an array of disciplines and provide them with the essential skills required for successful entrepreneurs. The Jim Moran School will focus on Commercial Entrepreneurship; Social Entrepreneurship; STEM; Arts and the Humanities; Allied Health; and applied disciplines such as law, education, criminology, and social work. The Jim Moran School of Entrepreneurship is slated to move into a new, state-of-the-art facility in the heart of downtown Tallahassee in the near future. In addition, the Jim Moran School also recently added Retail, Merchandising , and Product Development as a major.
